ABOUT GOO GOO DOLLS

In 1995, the band released their fifth album, A Boy Named Goo through Metal Blade Records. The album became their career defining effort, breaking through the Billboard 200, peaking at a cool number 27. The album spawned several iconic titles, including the double platinum selling hit “Name.” The single became their first song to enter the Billboard Hot 100. The work they did with this record put them on the map. Hence, the follow up effort, Dizzy Up the Girl also became a worldwide success. The album featured the mega hit and diamond selling single “Iris,” which went to number 1 on Billboard’s Top Airplay chart. Goo Goo Dolls continued to make great strides throughout the late 90s and early 2000s with smashing releases like “Black Balloon,” “Here is Gone,” “Better Days,” and tons more.
