Men At Work, Toad The Wet Sprocket and Shonen Knife – Thursday, August 13th, 2026 – Outdoor Amphitheater At Ford Idaho Center – Nampa, ID. The three influential musicians will perform in an Alfresco setting at an Outdoor Amphitheater in a show of outstanding music featuring a variety of music from classic new waves of the 80’s to alternative rock of the 90’s and the punk style of music that has influenced countless musicians from around the world to create their very own music. In an open setting of an amphitheater the crowds are sure to be friendly, celebrating the return of these three highly influential musicians, fellow fans from far and wide will join together creating a collective energy and an experience of outstanding music and so much more in an amphitheater setting holding an open air show of three of the worlds most gifted musicians.
Men At Work, known for their 80’s New Wave rock style, are an Australian legend. Some of their songs include “Land Down Under” (a Grammy Award winning song for Best New Artist in 1983 that played on many radio stations across the US), “Who Can It Be Now?”, “Overkill”, and “It’s A Mistake”. Their debut album Business as Usual sat at the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 for 15 weeks straight in 1983 and held platinum status. They made more music and even went on to make more successful albums. The men combined a wide array of different synthesizers and incorporated a flute into many of their songs, particularly in “Land Down Under” which was played by Greg Ham.
Santa Barbara, California is the birthplace of this alternative rock band. With thought provoking lyrics in creative arrangements of songs, they were to reach fame in the 1990s. Classics such as “All I Want”, “Walk on the Ocean”, and “Something’s Always Wrong” will certainly take you back to those days of your youth. Their 1994 album, Dulcinea, was even awarded platinum certification by the RIAA. The band is currently active and has recently dropped the new album Starting Now in 2021. The band members are very friendly and will make you feel welcome into their artistic universe. Toad The Wet Sprocket got their name from a comedy sketch by the famous British comedy group Monty Python.
To start off, the third band playing that night are the Shonen Knife, a trio of women that all are from Osaka, Japan. The band greatly influenced a number of musicians from the Western world and recently got the attention of grunge icon Kurt Cobain. Their blend of punk, pop, and rock is found on over 20 studio albums by the group and the newest of their albums, released in 2019, is called Sweet Candy Power. Their three primary songs that fans love to sing along to are “Burning Farm”, “Top of the World”, and “Twist Barbie” as they are extremely high-energy and have tons of life to them. As an independent group of musicians the women are also have their own record label that they distribute their music on. The group of talented musicians have been thriving for 40 years and are known to bring the same amount of energy to every show that they play.
